Please read the following rules for your entries. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these rules.
Call for entries: This is a call for a start-up pitch under the Innovation Kitchen Europe motto. There are questions to be answered in the pitch. The winners may also be interviewed, and all entries may be highlighted by EASME on their websites, their YouTube channel, and the event website of the EIC Innovators' Summit.
Entries will be accepted from 7 June to 5 July 2018, no later than 12:01 p.m. Berlin time (UTC+2). Your submitted videos will be uploaded to the EASME YouTube channel and periodically at least once a week and right before the start of the voting phase to give the organizer time to conduct an initial eligibility and rule compliance check.
Who May Enter: You are 18 years of age or older by the start of the challenge. You are the CEO or a designated employee of your company, the person to pitch and the one to attend the event. You are presenting your company’s product/service and you have all rights to participate in this pitch challenge. Your company needs to be registered in the European Union. EASME and its representatives will determine an entrant’s eligibility in its sole discretion.
What to Enter: Eligible videos are from 1 to 3 minutes in total length. A YouTube link is provided by the contestant via the submission form of the challenge. EASME and its representatives reserve the right to ask any entrant to provide written consent for certain or all persons appearing in the entered documentary or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian and provide it to EASME and its representatives upon request. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. Do not submit videos that are off-topic, partisan-political, contain personal attacks or expletives, or are otherwise abusive, threatening, unlawful (under any applicable federal, state, or local law, regulation, or rule), harassing, discriminatory, libelous, obscene, false, pornographic, or that infringe on the rights of any third party. Videos that do not comply with the rules will be disqualified.
Reminder to Respect Copyright: You must be the original author of the content that appears in your submission or have permission to use copyright-protected material. If you are considering using existing materials (music, photos, etc.) for your entry you must secure permission and provide documentation of that permission.
How to Enter: Please submit videos and requested contact and contextual information via the submission form. We do not accept videos submitted through any other means. Incomplete entries may be disqualified.
All Entrants Grant EASME Permission: By entering the contest, entrants allow EASME and those authorized by EASME to download the submitted video from the entrants account and link and/or upload it to an EASME YouTube channel and show it on the EASME website (https://ec.europa.eu/easme/en, www.eicsummit.eu), as well as at the event itself.
By entering the contest, entrants grant EASME, and those authorized by EASME, an irrevocable royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any purpose. EASME and those authorized by it will not be required to pay any consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with the foregoing uses.
